WIP Tatted Scarf

I am nearly finished with the 4th length of my Tatted Scarf so thought that a photo was due......I will finish all the lengths first (not sure how many as yet) and then join them all together....hope that you like this piece of tatting......it has not been blocked at this stage and I wont do that until it is all joined.

The first photo shows the lengths the second photo shows them folded ....I am using the magic thread hence the safety pin holding it so I wont accidentally pull it out.
Happy Tatting

Awesome! I have not tatted anything that measures as big as this before. I would love to see you model the finished scarf.

Very nice!

You've inspired me - I'm going to try making a scarf.

Are you going to add tatting in the open spaces, or leave as-is?

I would like to see your scarf modeled when it's done!

Thanks!

Hi Lily,
I am pleased that you are inspired to make a scarf of your own....it is a large project but if you want to you can tat smaller things inbetween.
The lengths of my scarf will be joined together with more tatting when I have finished the lengths...so a lot more to tat before that happens

Hi Joy,
I LOVE your scarf!! I am a new tatter and can only dream of tatting something like a scarf. I would like to ask though: why are you not joining each row as you go. Is there an advantage of joining later?

Hello Aimee,
Thank you for taking a peek at my blog and also thanks for your lovely comments.
To answer your question If I joined the lengths together as I went along I would have a very heavy and unmanageable large piece of tatting to fight with...I prefer to join them after I have done them all ...still a heap to manage but that's just me....others may do it differently and that's not to say I wont change my mind LOL
