I have started to tat the Split Chain doily from Linda Davies's pattern, Many thanks to Linda for being so generous with her patterns and her wonderful advice, I am posting a photo of the doily that I have done so far.......I have dreaded doing split chains for many years but this doily was too gorgeous to miss so here is the photo, and I am thrilled to say that I am no longer afraid of this technique.....LOL

Wow, t'a stunning! You've done a great job!
Very pretty. Well done for mastering the split chain. I struggle with it myself.
A very gorgeous start!!! :)
I'm impressed that you've mastered the split chain! I'm still intimidated by them! And the doily is looking great!
I'm also impressed that you've made it your mission to teach new tatters! I enjoy demonstrating at our events, and sometimes one or two visitors give it a try and get the concept quickly, but I haven't set up classes. I would want to teach just one person at a time.
Many thanks for all the lovely remarks regarding this split chain doily.....all the accolades go to Linda Davies for encouraging me to give it a try....I am pleased that I took her advice
Hugs to you all

P.S. Kathy,
one on one in teaching is good but if you started with a couple they seem to lock onto the concept a little better by watching each other.

That IS a gorgeous doily! New techniques are always a bit on the scary side....until we dive in and conquer them! You did a great job, Joy!
