Hello
I have had a great change since I last put anything on my blog...I have put my big house up for sale and have moved to Hastings into my daughters rental property...since Bernard passed away on the 5th September I really felt that the Big house was just toom much for me to handle so here I am in a lovely little cottage near to the sea
I have lots of unpacking and downsizing to do but I will get there slowly...cant dash along anymore.....I havent done much tatting but I will be ready to start soon and hope to be able to teach at the New Community Building here just around the corner.
Love and hugs
God Bless

Absence
I haven't added anything to my blog for ages so I though that I had better explain why......my husband has been ill since last June...Prostate operation and now it has been found that he has Lung Cancer...he has had 5 treatments of Radiotherapy and we see the Cancer Specialist on the 17th June as to possible Chemo...it has been a very busy time going from one specialist to the other.
Now we have a Palliative nurse calling in to see us and help us as much as she can, she come once a week or more if I need her
I am still tatting my scarf but for weeks I haven't done any tatting at all....I just picked it up a couple of days ago. so if you look on my blog and dont see any posts don't worry I am still here...just busy trying to get the shopping in ( a bit difficult with my back problem and takes lots of time as I have to keep sitting down LOL)...then there is the banking etc etc.
Happy Tatting

WIP Tatted Scarf
I am nearly finished with the 4th length of my Tatted Scarf so thought that a photo was due......I will finish all the lengths first (not sure how many as yet) and then join them all together....hope that you like this piece of tatting......it has not been blocked at this stage and I wont do that until it is all joined.
The first photo shows the lengths the second photo shows them folded ....I am using the magic thread hence the safety pin holding it so I wont accidentally pull it out.
Happy Tatting

Antique Ivory Tatting Shuttle
I really have to show you a very special present for me, it is a gorgeous Ivory Carved Tatting Shuttle.......Dont get me wrong I dont agree to any kind of poaching of animals to make items for sale as I love all animals... but this was made in the 1800's when this kind of thing was acceptable.
I have had this on my wish list for many years but never imagined that I would ever have one so I am very happy with it...hope that you folks like it.

Sam the Brave Koala
6th August 2009
It is with much sadness that I upload this lovely photo of one very brave and loved Koala Samantha who was saved from the horrific bushfires here in Victoria Australia in February this year........Samantha was doing fine ...all her burns were healing well but then she had very bad complications (Clamidia) which were not operable and had to be put to sleep this morning so that she would not have any further pain.
RIP Sam you gave so many of us hope...you will never be forgotten.
